Lurch
I named this one "Lurch". All I could think of when I saw it was Lurch from the Adams Family. Like the big guy had just responded to my call with a booming "You raaaang?". This made me happy.
I giggled as I took this shot.

Arrival
A lifetime of searching.
Within the world... within other dimensional realities.
The narrow escapes... the teetering at the edge of the abyss... the forks in the road... always watching, always discerning, gaining wisdom, using knowledge.

And then today happened.
The one choice to step left instead of right.
A stairway that lead down instead of up.
Yet she knew in her heart that the sphere was there. Finally. At last.
No more dead ends. No more endless hunting for hidden treasure.
She could feel it's heart beat inside of hers. Knew instinctively what the symbols engraved on the outside meant and what she must do.
Her feet all but flew down the steps.
The sphere warmed, glowed and thrummed its welcome.
She had arrived.

Brilliantly Concealed As a Shopping MallSan Francisco

Many people wonder whether Area 51 is the only place they stash found spaceships.
In fact, not.
What alot of folks don't know is that spaceships are spread about our fair planet in a variety of hush-hush locations.
Some are even brilliantly concealed as a shopping mall.

There's a cool mall in San Francisco, CA that bears exploration if you're ever there with a camera.

But watch out, because depending on where you go, you might just experience some puffy, self-important, be-speckled young man in some vaguely stated management role informing you that you're not allowed to shoot with a tripod on the premises because it's "private property." But don't worry... you'll stare at him as if he were a lower life form that just sprouted three heads, say nary a word and walk away giggling, since you already shot everything you needed for the past two hours (except a video of said Mr. Grumpy Pants to post on YouTube) and you're gonna post 'em all on G+.

Left and Right Brain, Connected Through Better DiningSan Francisco, CA

I was waiting for a friend at the Farmer's Market in San Francisco a few weeks ago and I was early. With camera. Itching to shoot. So what better place to go than inside the Ferry Building for a few iconic shots inspired by +Thomas Hawk? He's posted some great shots from here. But what's so fun about G+, sharing and hitting the same spot that someone else shot is that yours will always beinspired by... never the same.

This always fascinates me. What makes us unique isn't just WHAT we shoot... it's what we SEE when we shoot. To me, that's what gives each of us our unique signature, our own voice. What you think or feel when you shoot determines the story you tell, reveals your particular and unique point of view, your very own window to YOUR world. And you get to take it further with however you choose to process your photo. By the time you're done... you have your very own slice 'o the world to share... that will always be just a little bit different than anyone else's, even if they were standing right there next to you, taking the 'same' shot.

I love that about us.
