Brush Strokes in the Sky I think art is everywhere...even in the way we live our lives. The sky clearly knows this, and on this day demonstrated its big, bold brushstrokes of certainty. Take Me Over The Edge When you shoot an iconic spot like Eagle Falls, you just have to shut out all the noise. And I don't mean all the water roaring by! I'm talkin' about all that yammering in your head that says "EVERYONE has shot this... most of them better than you... this is pointless... Oh, ok fine shoot it, but it's gonna be stupid." She pauses. Not that I've ever done that. No, when you shoot an iconic spot like Eagle Falls, you just have to marvel at THAT little water droplet - that one right there that NO one has ever captured in EXACTLY the way you're about to - and isn't it gorrrrrrgeous? It's All Right There In Front Of YouYosemite Valley, CA She gave me a long look, that while enigmatic, was also loving and kind. When she finally spoke, it was deliberately, quietly; but with a power that made the air hum, weaving itself into a moment of only us, apart from time. "It's all right there in front of you. Look. Where your eyes see form, structure, depth and balance... Your heart will understand truth, wisdom, discernment. Then listen carefully. For in that moment you will Know... and you will be free." She took a breath. The air waited expectantly. "As above, so below... as within, so without, top to bottom, side to side, corner to corner, all around. So be it. Now." She opened her eyes and smiled.
