At night, everything changes. The light, the color, the activity, the people... and the animals are put up for the night.
This lone carousel horse gave me the feeling that at the stroke of midnight, he would come alive and gallop the deserted streets of Rome until the sun rose again. (Hey, it's a fantasy... the streets of Rome are NEVER deserted.)
It felt haunted and hopeful all at the same time. It was interesting to try and photograph that feeling.
