Dreams Live HereI rebooted my computer one day.
And when it came alive again - an email popped up, sent by a friend months before with a quote from an unknown author.
Strange. It read:

The universe makes no mistakes in its ongoing expansion.
Each of us is born to be different; to have a unique life experience whether for a second or for 100 years.
Some sing out loud on the train, some stay silent in a meeting,
some will have 5 marriages in their lifetime.
Some will be convinced that their faith is the only one,
teach children to dance, raise millions for charity, be always late for work,
struggle with rules, chew gum continuously, be unsinkingly positive, always beat you at golf …
The list of differences is infinite.
If all you do today is practice allowing others their freedom of expression as a human being, your contribution to the ‘happiness scale’ of the universe
will create a ripple effect that will last for eternity.
Respect & allowing.
It's really that powerful.

I didn't write that, but I wish I did.
It's something my mother would have said.
And I believe it with all my heart.
If You Were The Road
If you were the road, what would you see?
What you would feel?
Would you feel less than everyone around you because you were so flat and low... and because they grew taller and taller and you didn't?
Or greater than all 'o them, because you were so dang long?
If you were a road, what would you think about?
(You'd have alot of time on your hands. Er, lines.)
Who would be the King of You?
How long does it take a chicken to cross you?

I was just wondering.
Summer Always Sways Me
Summer does. It sways me.
It doesn't even have to actually be summer, it just has to feel like it.
And then I sway. To its breeze... to its rhythms... its colors... its fragrance.
It has me at "Hello, I'm 80 degrees."
Even my opinions are swayed... toward a mellower, happier, a more "the hills are alive" version of themselves.
And today... well, it was swayful.

Under The Skies Where It All Happensnear Lodi, CA

There's something to be said for just being there.
You know... not trying so hard to DO and FORCE and DEMAND.
Just be there where it all happens.
Cause it all sure does happen.
And it sure is a choice.

The muted colors, the peaceful glow, the majestic overlook... they all put the 'aaahhhh' in the "Utah". Yes they did.

Her mother always told never to worry...
but to pay careful attention
For there would always be a sign...
and she would know just what to do.
Always.

Sky On Fire
When a scene like this is presents itself to you, it's kind of like the spotlight switching on and the director barking "Action!!". You're on. You're in the zone. Maybe a little nervous about hitting your mark, saying your lines right. Which is kinda silly, since a scene like this has nothing to do with you. All you can really do is be in awe. And do your best to be in service of such a moment so that maybe someone who wasn't even there can understand why you were left completely speechless.
The sky was indeed on fire that night.
