River of a Dream
For a moment, it was like she stood on the edge of a dream.
A really strange, "primordial turtle in the granite" kind of dream.
Then she decided it was just another wacky reality selection
In her decidedly wacky, but mighty fun life.
From FINE ART COLLECTION
Hard to believe that above Eagle Falls could ever be thought of as a 'crick'. But as dry as it's been in California, that's what happens.
This summer day, it was as peaceful and delightful as any meadow. Nevermind the nasty drop 180 degrees from this view.
Just don't step back!
From LAKE TAHOE & TRUCKEE
Cairn thought long and hard as she gazed across the water. Slowly, she came to the conclusion that while the odds weren't all stacked in her favor... she would still come out on top.
She smiled at that realization.

So Help Me God
She narrowed her eyes and glared at the cross embedded in the rock.
"So you think you it's that easy? You are mistaken."
A chilly smile touched her lips.
"I will find you, wherever you are. So help me God."
From THE TEXTURARIUM
Elegantly Fine Flourish
She couldn't do anything "normal".
Every story was embellished, every color a burst -
plus she talked with her hands in a most animated fashion.
Even her sentences ended with an elegantly fine flourish.
She was her own little one-woman light show.
From THE MOUNTAINS
Last Light Last Night
There was no sign of you all day. I was concerned.
So I waited.
I'd almost given up when you showed your beautiful face. I sighed. The trees sighed. The water sighed.
Thank you for last night, Light.

The Paddler and the Blowhole
This was taken at a spot called "Spitting Cove".
It's on account of that blowhole you see over to the left. It spits water when the wave hits it just right.
I love names that say what they mean and mean what they say!
