The Dreamin' TreeAuburn, CA

For you, place of wonder, a place to call your own; to shade you from the hot, hot sun, and shelter you from storms. A place to seek - and find - your own deep wisdom, one will light your way and keep you safe. A place of your own that will travel with you and glow in the night, but only when you want it to. Where you can invite whomever... or nobody at all.

It's a dreamin' tree... where wishes come true, so dream well.

Under The Skies Where It All Happensnear Lodi, CA

There's something to be said for just being there.
You know... not trying so hard to DO and FORCE and DEMAND.
Just be there where it all happens.
Cause it all sure does happen.
And it sure is a choice.
Delta Life Central Valley, California
I trekked one day tdown the great Central Valley of California, through part of the famed Delta... a web of waterways spread amongst California's vast farmlands. They call it an 'inverted river delta', one of only a few in the world.

This journey took awhile, as any road trip does where you simply must stop every couple of miles to take a shot! This one was late in the day... and while I'd hoped for a bit more direct sun action..the clouds were big, expansive and looked mighty fine reflected back one of the delta's myriad of canals.

Because you just never know when the Reality You Only Imagined will bust out of the Rock of Previously Impossible.
Personally, I like to keep my options open.
Back To My RootsYosemite Valley, CA

Wandering around this riverbed in Yosemite Valley, I found that I just wasn't makin' the magic with the grand sceneries. Everything of mine from that department; returned.
Besides, my attention kept being drawn to the battle-worn details at my feet.

This tree stopped me in my tracks. So many little movies started playing. I thought of all the stories that could be told with this simple image.

But it also took me back to my own roots.
Photography-wise, that's black and white.
Deep. Rich. Thoughtful. Respectful. Revealing. Unapologetic. Wise.
Black. And white.
