FUJIFILM ART CALENDAR
Fine Art Conceptual Calendar
Fujifilm Netherlands, Tilburg is the the global producer for all Fujifilm photo paper.
Each year they feature one artist for their Art Calendar, printed on their Fujicolor Crystal Archive Digital Pearl Paper.
In 2021, my work was chosen; a huge honor indeed.
THEME:
INTIMATE LANDSCAPES.
I worked with Fujifilm Netherlands' Art Director on the project. We combed through hundreds of images, to find the very best group to accomplish two things: pair beautifully with their gorgeous paper + convey a sense of Awe throughout the seasons of the year.
From the piece:
"Grand landscapes stir the soul. They’re uplifting, awe-inspiring, gasp-inducing. Intimate landscapes are quieter.
The way I see it, intimate landscapes encompass those moments when light impacts the living soul of the Earth and Mother Nature.
Each are moments of divinity; being in their presence fills me with awe.
They are a different kind of focus of both eyes and mind. Experiencing them is like a meditation.
Breathing into a single idea... distractions fade softly into the background.
With inquisitive eyes, we return over and again to the heart of the matter, discovering new layers each time.
From Fujifilm: "This year’s selected art photographer Karen Hutton tells her story “intimate landscapes” motifs printed on Fujicolor Crystal Archive Digital Pearl Paper.
The result: a stunning landscape format almanac of the finest quality. A joyous, precious piece of photography which will last much longer than a year."
