The Forum, Rome Sure, there are a gazillion images of The Forum in Rome. And each one is different! Light, skies, shadows, people all conspire to offer some slice of uniqueness, no matter how subtle. This was my first time seeing The Forum. Late afternoon. Gorgeous, stormy skies. I couldn't have asked for a better unique moment for my standard moment. I was still taking in the ancient-ness and how it just sits in the middle of today's city, surrounded by a population who are probably so used to all this (even over it to some degree), they don't even glance over anymore. Mind boggleage ensued...
Castel Sant'Angelo, Rome I love the long shot, but I have thing for filling the frame with pores of ancient skin. It's like getting close enough to sense the thoughts, hear the whispers, catch a glimpse of the unseen. It's just a thing. Big capture, zoom in. Rinse, repeat.
Sunset... or galactic event? I wondered that myself, this summer's evening at the Arno.
